Classic ooey-gooey Rice Krispie squares get a campfire twist with chopped milk chocolate and crushed graham cracker pieces. These S’mores Rice Krispie Squares are perfect for a summertime snack or back-to-school treat!
What you will need:
These S’mores Rice Krispie Squares come together quickly and require minimal ingredients.
Unsalted Butter
Mini Marshmallows – You can also use regular-sized marshmallows. I prefer the mini as they are perfect for adding extras on top!
Vanilla Extract
Rice Krispie Cereal
Graham Crackers – You will need to crush these to get bite-size pieces of graham cracker. You want bite-size pieces as opposed to graham cracker crumbs as this provides more crunch and texture throughout!
Milk Chocolate – Grab your favorite milk chocolate bar and roughly chop it up into bite-size pieces. You could also use milk chocolate chips!
How to make S’mores Rice Krispie Squares
In a medium-sized pan over medium heat, melt the butter and mini marshmallows together until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and stir until combined.
In a large bowl, combine the Rice Krispies and crushed graham crackers.
Pour the melted marshmallow and butter mixture over the Rice Krispies and graham crackers. Mix until fully combined. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Add the chopped milk chocolate to the cooled Rice Krispie mixture and mix until fully combined.
Transfer the Rice Krispie mixture into a parchment paper lined 8 x 8” pan and pat down evenly. Top with extra mini marshmallows, graham cracker pieces, and milk chocolate chunks if desired.
Let set for about 30 minutes before cutting into 16 squares.
